Die-molded graphite is a type of graphite that is made by filling molds of different shapes and sizes with paste materials. The materials are then compressed into the mold shapes by applying pressure in the up and down directions, or sometimes both, and then baked, impregnated, graphitized, and processed in other ways.
This type of graphite is widely used because of its excellent high-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, high strength, electrical conductivity, and good thermal shock resistance. It is commonly used to make graphite boats, plates, crucibles, and other processed products for various purposes such as lithium battery anodes, sodium batteries, lithium iron phosphate cathodes, molds for exothermic welding, powder metallurgy sintering, pouring molds, float glass, bearing plates in a vacuum furnace, and more.
