High Compression Strength Molded Graphite

 

Molded graphite is a process where a paste material is placed into a mold with a specific shape and size. Pressure is then applied from the upper or lower part, and sometimes from both directions simultaneously, compressing the material within the mold to achieve the desired shape. The pressed semi-finished products are demolded, cooled, and inspected before being stacked. Molding equipment can be either a vertical press or a horizontal press. However, since only one piece of product can be pressed at a time, the production efficiency is relatively low.

 

Molded graphite materials exhibits a wide range of properties such as mechanical strength, friction resistance, density, hardness, electrical conductivity, etc. These properties of graphite blocks can be further enhanced by impregnating resins or metals.
