Graphite Felt - ideal thermal Insulation Material for Industrial Furnaces
Graphite felt is an ideal material for heat insulation in vacuum furnaces and inert gas furnaces. SHJ supplies graphite soft felt with a width of up to 1600mm and a thickness of 5mm or 10mm, while graphite rigid felt can be up to 2800mm wide, available in both sheet and cylindrical forms. The size and specifications can be customized according to the conditions of use. Our graphite felt can be purified to have a total ash content as low as 20 ppm.
Features
Our PAN-based and Rayon-based graphite felts feature light weight and low thermal conductivity, while also possessing high tensile strength, high tensile modulus, low density, high temperature resistance, ablation resistance, and corrosion resistance. In addition, they are characterized by high electrical conductivity, low thermal expansion, and self-lubricating properties. Therefore, they are the optimal heat insulation materials for industrial furnaces.
Applications
Graphite felt, as an effective high-temperature insulation material, is particularly effective for induction furnaces or furnaces using cylindrical hot zones.
Specific applications include single crystal furnaces, carbonization furnaces, quartz furnaces, vacuum furnaces, heat balance reaction furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, sintering furnaces, welding furnaces, and high-pressure furnaces in metallurgy, machinery, and chemical industries. It can also be used as a filtering material for high-purity corrosive chemical reagents.
