Affected by the recovery of the world economy on the graphite industry, the demand for graphite in the world has risen steadily in recent years. 

According to statistics from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the world's main graphite producing countries in 2012 were China, India, Brazil, Canada, North Korea, Russia and the Czech Republic.
